Marathon Update 1.0.5: Cryo Archive Implants + Mods

Update 1.0.5 has dropped, introducing new gameplay elements and various fixes. Key highlights include fresh implants and mods exclusive to the newly added Cryo Archive, along with several combat and UI adjustments aimed at enhancing the player experience.

New Implants and Mods

All of these new items can only by found in Marathon’s end-game zone, Cryo Archive. Therefore you can treat these new additions as new end-game loot!

Three new random-rolled implant perks have been added:

• Covert Recovery: boosts self-repair speed in smoke and speeds up healing consumables.
• Freeloader: gives tactical and prime ability energy on knife kills.
• Panic Response: grants Cardio Kick effects when low on health while using healing items.

New mods include:

• Punishment: which increases damage against [REDACTED] combatants.
• Testament: enhancing weapon range and aim assist when aiming down sights.
• Hurricane: improving weapon stability while airborne.

Additionally, Rook can now be accessed from Runner Level 0.

Combat Improvements

Players can now activate exfil beacons while downed, and camera shake from melee attacks has been reduced. The spectator camera timeout after runs has been extended, and several bugs related to revives and ability desyncs have been fixed.

UI and Experience Changes

The UI has received various improvements, including clearer contract waypoint icons and better visibility for important messages. A Ranked tab has been added to the Runner Connections panel, allowing players to see their standings among friends. Additionally, voice chat features have been enhanced with new Push-To-Talk options.

Stability and Quality of Life Fixes

Numerous stability issues have been addressed, including crashes related to map interactions. The update also optimizes item tooltips and enhances inventory management features.
