FACTION PROGRESSION

How this page works

The Faction Progression Tracker helps you plan and track every faction upgrade across all six Marathon factions — CyberAcme, NuCaloric, Traxus, MIDA, Arachne, and Sekiguchi. Each faction has a tree of upgrades (like Expansion, Informant, or Enhanced Weaponry), and each upgrade has multiple tiers that cost credits and salvage materials.

Marking upgrades as unlocked: Click any tier in the Faction Upgrades tab to toggle it. Unlocked tiers fill the progress bar and update your completion percentage. The card dims the tier with a strikethrough and reduces its remaining material count by however much of that material you have tracked in the Your Materials card.

Setting goals: Hit the flag icon on any tier to mark it as a goal, or use the My Goals tab to see everything you are actively chasing. Goals feed directly into the Farming Plan tab, which generates a zone-by-zone run plan ranked by how many of your goal materials each zone covers.

Materials & inventory: The Your Faction Ranks / Materials card tracks how much salvage you have. Update your counts and remaining amounts on each tier adjust automatically. Use theMaterials tab to toggle between per-faction requirements and your remaining needs.

Saving your progress: Progress saves to your browser automatically — no sign-in required. Sign in with your Bungie account to sync across devices.

The Faction Progression Tracker lets you track every upgrade tier across all six Marathon factions — CyberAcme, NuCaloric, Traxus, MIDA, Arachne, and Sekiguchi. Set goals for the tiers you want to unlock, and the Farming Plan tab will generate a zone-ranked run plan built from your actual progression, showing which zones cover the most of your outstanding materials.

Each faction upgrade tier has a credit cost and optional material requirements — some tiers require only credits, while others need salvage materials that drop in specific zones. Use the Material Finder to get a full breakdown of where each material drops across the Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost. For item descriptions and drop details, see the Item DB.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do faction upgrades work in Marathon?

Each of the six factions (CyberAcme, NuCaloric, Traxus, MIDA, Arachne, and Sekiguchi) has an upgrade tree. Upgrades unlock at specific reputation ranks and cost credits plus salvage materials. Each upgrade has multiple tiers — higher tiers cost more and require rarer materials.

Do I need to sign in to use the tracker?

No. Your unlocks, goals, and pinned items save automatically to your browser. Sign in to sync across devices.

What are goals and how do they affect the farming plan?

Goals are tiers you mark as your next priority. Flag a tier in the Faction Upgrades tab, then use the Farming Plan to see which zones cover your goal materials most efficiently.

How does the Materials card work?

Track how much salvage you have. Update counts and remaining amounts on upgrade tiers adjust automatically. Expand the Materials section to see per-faction requirements.

What is the difference between unlocking and setting a goal?

Unlocking counts toward your completion percentage. Setting a goal feeds the Farming Plan. Goals are what you chase next; unlocks are what you have finished.
