Bungie's 1.1.9.5 update is a lighter one, but it lands right as Vault Breaker returns. Here's everything that changed.
Vault Breaker Returns

Vault Breaker, Marathon’s PvE mode set in Cryo Archive, is returning and will be live from October 20 through November 10. Bungie has made changes to the Vault Breaker armory for this iteration of the mode:
Tier 1 Repeatable Offers
- Materials Pack 1: stock decreased from 5 per week to 2 per week.
- Materials Pack 2: stock decreased from 5 per week to 2 per week.
- Cryo Archive Key Template: stock decreased from 3 per week to 1 per week.
- Deluxe Weapon: stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.
- Deluxe Backpack: stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.
- Deluxe Shield Implant: stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.

- Biotoxic Disinjector Ammo
Upgrades
- All upgrades are available for purchase from the start of the event.
Economy changes
- Solo players receive 50% more Tier 1 and Tier 2 event currency from Vault Breaker.
- Monitor scan XP has been reduced by 50%.
- A selection of Tier 3 standard contracts are not intended to be completed during Vault Breaker and are unavailable for the duration of the event.
Other Changes:
- The C.A.R.R.I. Armory has returned and will run through the end of the Nightfall refresh.
- Sponsored Night Marsh is available this weekend, starting Thursday 10/22.
- Updated the description of the Repeater HPR to correctly state that it reloads 2 rounds at a time.
- Fixed an issue with the timing requirements on the Recon Trifecta Mastery challenge.
- Fixed an issue in profile stats where Global Exfils would appear different when previewing different seasons.
- Fixed an issue where the profile stats page could sometimes appear blank.
What it means for you
If you're chasing Vault Breaker rewards, the stock cuts are the headline: you can now buy far fewer Materials Packs and Cryo Archive Key Templates per week, so plan your purchases around the weekly reset rather than assuming you can stockpile late.
Solo players get a meaningful buff — 50% more event currency at the same effort — while the Monitor scan XP nerf makes scanning a slower route to progression than it was last time.
I’ll see y’all on Tau Ceti!
