MATERIAL CHEAT SHEET
Every salvage item needed for faction upgrades — per-faction breakdowns and cross-faction totals to fully max every faction from zero.
How this page works
The Material Cheat Sheet shows every salvage item required across all six faction upgrade trees. Each material card displays the total quantity needed, which factions use it, and its rarity — giving you a complete picture of what you need to farm to max every faction from scratch.
Reading the cards: Each card shows the material name, its rarity tier, and colored badges for each faction that uses it with the per-faction quantity. The total at the bottom is the grand total across all factions combined.
Rarity matters: Materials range from Standard (common, cheap) to Contraband (extremely rare, expensive). Higher rarity materials typically drop from Priority Hostiles, locked rooms, and end-game zones. Standard materials can be found in common containers and world drops.
Filters: Use the faction filters above the grid to narrow down to specific factions, or use the search bar to find a specific material by name. For personalized farming plans based on your active goals, use the Progression Tracker.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is this cheat sheet for?
It shows every salvage material you need to fully upgrade all six Marathon factions. Each card displays the material name, rarity tier, which factions use it, and the total quantity required. Use the inventory inputs to track how much of each material you already have.
What do the rarity tiers mean?
Materials range from Standard (common, cheap) to Contraband (extremely rare, expensive). Higher-rarity materials are more efficient to farm than to buy — check the Material Finder for drop locations.
How do I read the per-faction numbers?
Each material card shows colored badges for each faction that needs it, with the specific quantity. The total is the sum across all factions.
Where is the best place to farm materials?
There is no single best zone — different materials drop in different zones. Use the filters to narrow by faction, then use the Progression Tracker to set goals and get a personalized farming plan.
Why are some materials much more expensive than others?
Higher-rarity materials have higher vendor costs. If you see a material that costs a lot, farm it directly rather than buying it — vending prices for rare salvage are rarely worth the credits.
