TTK RANKINGS
All weapons ranked by time-to-kill within each class, at point-blank range with no headshots. Lower is better.
How this page works
This page ranks every Marathon weapon by time-to-kill (TTK) — the time it takes to eliminate a hostile Runner from full health at point-blank range. All calculations assume no headshots and no weapon upgrades, so these reflect a weapon's baseline performance.
Shield tiers: Use the dropdown above the table to switch between Standard (300 HP), Enhanced (400 HP), Deluxe (500 HP), and Superior (550 HP) shields. Higher shield tiers dramatically shift the rankings — some weapons that dominate against Standard shields fall off hard against Superior.
One-shot kills: Weapons that can kill in a single shot (like certain shotguns and sniper rifles) show a TTK of 0.00s. These are marked with "1-shot" badges.
Reading the table: Each row shows DPS, TTK, damage per shot, rate of fire (RPM), magazine size, reload time, and range. Click column headers to sort. Click a weapon name or use the Compare tool to see full stat breakdowns side-by-side.

What does TTK mean in Marathon?
TTK stands for Time-to-Kill — the number of seconds it takes to eliminate a Runner with full health at point-blank range. Lower TTK is better. Rankings assume body shots only with no weapon upgrades.
Why does TTK change depending on shield tier?
Different shields give different health pools: Standard (300 HP), Enhanced (400 HP), Deluxe (500 HP), Superior (550 HP). A weapon that kills in 0.7s against Standard may take over 1.0s against Superior.
What does a TTK of 0.00s mean?
The weapon can kill in a single shot against that shield tier — common for shotguns at close range, sniper headshots, and some railguns.
How is DPS different from TTK?
DPS measures raw damage output, TTK measures kill speed. A weapon with high DPS may have slow TTK if it uses small per-shot damage. A lower-DPS weapon with high per-shot damage can kill faster.
Which weapon has the best TTK?
It depends on shield tier and range. Shotguns and railguns dominate close range; sniper and precision rifles dominate at distance. Sort the table by the shield tier that matches your opponents.
How accurate are these stats?
All weapon stats are verified against in-game data for Season 2. Updated when balance patches ship. Incomplete or unverified items are flagged.
The TTK Rankings page ranks every Marathon weapon by time-to-kill within its weapon class — Assault Rifles, SMGs, Pistols, Shotguns, LMGs, Precision Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Railguns. TTK is calculated at point-blank range with no headshots, using the formula: (shots − 1) × (60 / RPM). A TTK of 0.000s means the weapon kills in a single shot at that shield tier.
Use the shield tier selector to switch between Standard (140 HP), Enhanced (160 HP), Deluxe (180 HP), and Superior (200 HP) shields. Rankings update instantly — some weapons that dominate against Standard shields fall off significantly against Superior, while high-damage weapons like shotguns maintain their advantage across all tiers.
